System dies, will reboot with new power up.

I am totally assuming that the power supply is dying.

Has about 16 phones on system.

I don't think it is worth fixing but he wants to try.

Am I correct in assuming this is a power issue most likely?

Does anyone have just the power supply?

Thanks, Bracha

You might have better luck finding a whole cabinet somewhere. Even when this switch was leading edge- in the 70's and early 80's- it was tough to find discrete parts.

Am I on track thinking this could be nothing other than a power supply?

That would be my thinking as well. It's acting like some little capacitor is feeling over-worked and wants to take a nap once in a while. Can't think of a failing circuit card that would show these symptoms, either.

I swapped out the power supply with one I bought used, is there anyone who still repairs the 616 power supply?

Thanks, Bracha
