First of all I realise this is a very old system but due to budget restraints in our office it is the only option we have at the moment. Bearing that in mind if there is anybody who can help me with this issue it would be very much appreciated.
We have five handsets in the office connected to this system – 201, 202, 203, 204 and 205. So far I have tried to programme set 201 to forward all calls by following these instructions
1. While on-hook, press the TRSF key and dial 102. 2. Dial 5. 3. Dial the trunk or trunk group access code followed by the outside number that you want. 4. Press the TRSF key.
After step 4 the LCD on this station reads ‘FWD to External’ but new calls do not get forwarded. Instead the phones just ring as normal i.e. 201, 202, and 203 first, 204 next and finally 205.
I have discovered a couple of old posts on these forums on this subject - #430895 and #422869 - as well as some videos on YouTube - - however I am still a little confused as to how to get this working.

My guess is you a dealing with an incoming call that is ringing a station group and not directly to a station.. A station group call will not follow an individual station call forwarding plan
You can probably fix it by ringing the incoming calls to a station directly and having that station set to external forward. There is probably also a timer for external forward delay for the station that may also need to be changed. You are going to need to be able to access the programming and will need the password to do it.
If your forward external you programmed is working ,you should be able to answer a call and transfer the call to ext 201 and it will forward to the external number after the delay timer.
Post 422869 you referenced above pretty much has all the info you need to fix it.
