I found one of these in our office. Can someone tell me when they first made these? Is it a new product within a couple years, or has it been around for years. I can't seem to get it terminate correctly.

Thanks
Chaz

Been around for years. I took a certification class on Leviton and their new 6a series Atlas jacks require no punch tool. They even said no more 714s or Jack Rapids!

JackRapid has been around for a while. I've been using one for a few years. Wish I would have had it sooner. Saves lots of time.

Are you using it on Leviton jacks? And there are different heads for cat 5e and cat 6.

There are different heads for several makes of jacks. Just look it up on the FLuke site.

The original Jack Rapid, and it came in Red, or Blue/Yellow terminated 5G108 and 41106 jacks. They are really convenient and you can fly through the terminations.

Thanks. I think ours was bought in 2009, although I thought they weren't making them then. It probably needs new blades.

I have the Fluke version for Leviton 5G series jacks, don't use it all the time but it sure is handy.

I have one for Systimax MGS400 jacks. Works pretty good. You have to make sure the jack is seated properly and I still have to crimp the stuffer cap on with a pair of small channel locks. Helps out especially in tight spaces.

I bought my blue and yellow Leviton JackRapid in early 2009. I've done a few thousand Leviton jacks with it. Wish I bought it sooner, too.
