I have a soft spoken user who needs the gain on the handset microphone increased. I've yet to find any reference to this in any manual. The simple volume adjustments have no affect. It is an 8622P.

There isnt a mic volume adjustment; perhaps a headset or tell her to get more assertive

She has a Plantronics cordless headset she uses when away from the desk. She would prefer not to use it at her desk. Tell her to be more assertive? Not a good idea. Only the voice is meek.

I am assuming you already verified that the handset is CLEAN? I recently had an issue with a user that wore ALOT of makeup. She filled all the holes with her foundation. I used a dental pick to clean it out. Works like new. Though I felt disgusted afterwards.

Of course the other obvious (sorry!!!) issue could be that the handset is defective or malfunctioning. Have you tried a different handset to rule out that possibility?

Been there, done that. I actually swapped it out with mine (no makeup issue with me). It has worked fine for me. I've not heard any more complaints from her, but that may just be psychological. "I have a new handset. It must be fixed."
