I have an XTSc system with version 4.1 and wanting to make changes to the SIP settings but when I do a partial backup of them the VOIP tab that shows the card IP address is all zero's. So I don't really trust the client. I could not find a programming manual on the web for 4.1
If I do the programming through the phone how do I get an @ sign or an _ under score for the USER ID entry?

WIN DBA is required to program certain SIP fields such as user ID. It can be viewed from the phone but it cannot be changed.

I did the cutover to the new carrier's SIP trunks and now I can't make an outgoing call. If I call my office, we use SIP trunks, the call progresses properly. I hear ring back tone and audio when the call is answered. When I call a cell number or any other land line I have a period of silence then ring back tone and then the call drops. What I discovered was that the period of silence is actually the duration that I should be hearing ringback tone. When the called party answers that's when I start to hear ring back tone and then the call drops when the called party hangs up. If I put the call on hold as soon as I hear ringback tone and pick the call back up I can talk to the party I'm calling.
The carrier says the phone system is not responding properly to the 180 with SDP status code for ringing. Apparently when I call another SIP trunk the status code is 183 for call progress which the system responds to properly.

Enter SIP Settings using Win DBA (first four steps are programming the voip card)
5. Click on the SIP tab; use the arrow buttons at the top to select the desired SIP Table Index
number: 1-3. (Index number is based on data received in your SIP Provider setup letter.)
6. Enter the Proxy Server address (provided by SIP carrier); enter the Primary & Secondary
SIP DNS (see your network administrator); leave the default setting for Proxy Port set at
"5060" and Proxy Server Registration Timer set at "3600".
7. Enter the User ID (ex. [email protected]). Then enter the same User ID
"number" in the User Name and User Password fields.
8. Keep the default settings for these fields: JitterBuffer Value is 150, Connection Type is
UDP, and DTMF is INBAND.
9. Make sure the following default settings are checked: Outbound Proxy, User ID Usage,
Support 181 Msg, and Echo Canceler. (Leave remaining settings unchecked.)
10. Before you proceed to the next screen … click the “checkmark” button at the top to save
your settings.
11. Go to the main screen and upload the SIP settings to your system; then click "Reset
System".

Yep, checked and verified that all the settings you mentioned in step 8 and 9 were correct, and they were. I seem to be stuck.
