Perhaps others have a better memory than me, but you have to tell the customer even your circle of old authorized Executone technicians can't remember the detailed nuances of this 30 year old system.

Check to see what the monthly leasing cost would be for them to have you move them into a brand-new system. This one needs to be replaced before they have an emergency.

AMEN. I worked for Executone for 20 years...left in 2000. E-Tone as I knew it dissolved in 2002...

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

Yeah, this was from almost 2 years ago. I haven't been back.
I just saw that I hadn't updated this post and thought I would throw what I found up here.

Na not a memory thing.....? Or at least I don't think it is but may have forgotten!!!!
Think the IDS product line as some the same engineering/thought/was in the product.
The 17k phones would work HF internal (ICM) calls both ways
but when it came to outside calls no transmit. Go Figure.
Still havin fun every day........ Or at least I think I did??????????

That was a marketing ploy to get people to buy a biggerphone like the 28K or Display set.Just like if you remember what the list price on a 108 KSU cabinet was versus a 228 cabinet. All marketing.

Cut my teeth on the Executone product line starting in 86" when they were Contel Executone the Gateway, Equity I, II ,III & Encore lines. Best product on the market besides the true PBX's. Nurse Call & Paging product lines were big also.

I still have a small group of Exectuone customers with Equity III, Encore CX, IDS42, 84, & 108 no 228's anymore. Believe it or not have 2 ISOETEC customers. Do have most of the documentation and a small amount of new & refurbed product.

If anyone needs anything just get a hold of me glad to help.
