Hello,

I'm new to ESI phone systems and just inherited a ESI-600 series. We use the trunk to trunk feature to call forward calls from our help desk extensions to our cell phones after hours. We have a PRI in place servicing the building. The calls are going through with no issues but it sounds like the volume is cut in half. If I call in on my cell, the volume is fine. If I call out to my cell, the volume is fine. It's only when we get the trunk to trunk calls that the volume is lower than expected. I'm not sure where to look. All the line levels look good and everything I've found is at the default settings.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

F166 is where you adjust conference and trunk to trunk gains. BE CAREFUL. Too much of a change in either direction could cause erratic trunk behavior.

Thanks for the quick response!

I looked at the value is set at 12 which according to the documentation is the max. I'll have to play around with it to see if I can get it set better.

Thanks!

You may have to try to change values in F23 as well. Remember, in volume settings, a 3db change doubles or halves the volume. When a change is made from, as an example, -11 db to -8 db, the sound level is, effectively, doubled. So make very small changes and test each time.
