Good Morning-

I have an ESI 600, for after hours, my client utilizes a 3rd party answering service. I have all calls routed to ID 1, I recorded a message saying please hold and your call will be answered.

When that call is transferred, caller hears silence until 3rd party picks up.

Is there any way, or setting, to generate ring tone for the silence? One of their customers has a phone system that will disconnect the call if it hears 3 seconds of silence. So, all their calls are getting dropped.

I have 24 channels with a PRI

You certainly have a quite unique 24 channel PRI. The 24th channel is not a voice channel, it is the bearer channel and contains all the signalling information for the other 23 channels.

Look in F2131 and see if you have ring back checked for all channels.

Yep- Ring Back is checked. Does Dial Tone right next to it have anything to do with it? Those are all unchecked.

No.

How are you transferring the calls?

One other thing, make sure the PRI provider is retransmitting ring back tone. With some, this is an option.
