The Canadian Radio/Television Telecommunications commission (Canadian version of US FCC) has given the Canadian Telco's 90 days to come up with technical ways to block unwanted calls. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/crtc-telemarketing-calls-1.3839951

That would be great. Sometimes unwanted calls can be really irritating.

Now that you mention it the CRTC has been quiet on this issue since they gave the compliance request to the Canadian Telco's.
