Greetings,
Where does the Svmi 20i grab it's time stamp from for voicemail to e-mail? I have a client that shows an hour difference between the sent and received time. I have the Svmi 20i set for -5 which is right for our time zone. I think it has something to do with DST?
TIA,
John

The system wide paramters screen has an option for DST to be enabled.

That is correct. 505 is correct with No NTP server and -05:00 set for GMT same as in the mail system parameters. This is what the client gets in their e-mail

Subject: Voice Message From Number *********** Sent Tue 11/1/2016 10:38 AM

Message
Sent By: Number ***********

Voice Mail Received: Tue 11/1/2016 10:38 AM Voice Message Attached
The message was received at 10:38 and sent at 10:38 verified by activity. But that 11:39 time stamp places the message in the users e-mail wrong. They sort their mail by the time and date.
Thanks in advance,
John

Is it only messages from the system that have the wrong time stamp? I've seen a similar issue caused by a customer managing to change the timezone on their computer. The time stamps on all of their emails were showing that they were delivered three hours before they were sent.

Also, do the phones show the correct time on the displays?

The phones were correct. The problem started on the old DST date when we broke out the e-mail header it looked to be their local exchange server applying the time stamp. When the week was over the time corrected. I never heard back from the customer whether or not they checked their exchange server or not.
