I have a fax modem connected to an SLT port, which I have set to automatic trunk line seizure. Does not seem to be working correctly - do I need to change any other settings for that port? It would seem to me that I am simply connecting an outside line directly to the fax modem, but it does not work.

Have you tried dialing out with a butt set?

Yes - that works fine. I suppose I have an issue with the software - I tried swapping the modem already.

Open up your SMDR and see if it's actually dialing. I have run into situations where the DTMF is so short being dialed the cards do not pick up the tones.
