We are switching our current email addresses to another domain, but I can't get the fax server to send it to a different email address. I have even tried a live account and so far the only email address that works is my old one. Since the box runs on Windows NT and it's running Outlook 2002 it will not play nice with Office 365. I'm assuming that it will only send to 1 domain that matches the domain I have assigned to it. Any help is appreciated.
We were using an exchange server but that will be going away soon. Will this program only allow faxes to be forward to the same domain that it is programmed for?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thank you, Sherri Powers

I assume you have an Inter-Tel and VPU combination instead of something else.
From what I remember, one is unable to use authenticated SMTP to relay email out from this setup, which is not very likeable to most cloud setups. If your email is onprem, it'd just go through as everything is local and matches up and goes. But the cloud assumes authenticated SMTP and "modern" mail setups.
One solution (instead of a dedicated exchange server) would be a tiny unix server running sendmail or postfix to do the relay out to the cloud for you, but that would require a little bit of experience setting that up. Wouldn't take much.
