I've had this issue intermittently for years and for the life of me can't remember what I did to correct it this time.
Running OS DM version 4.99. Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. When I open device manager, I get an error message that says Java is not installed on my PC. But Java is installed on my PC and it is the latest version. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Java. I've uninstalled and reinstalled device manager. Compared the various security settings with a coworkers who also uses device manager.
Has anyone else run into this? I've heard about it periodically but would like to find a permanent fix.

Dm is a 32bit app, it requires 32bit java. Even on 64bit os's.
Are you using standalone or From a system web interface?
If you goto java.com does it detect your java installation?
