Axxess system version 8.2 and Attendant console version 3.02.
Want to swap pc's for the attendant. Installed attendant app on new pc, launch the attendant app however it only comes up in demo mode. Followed install instructions properly and shut down pc, installed hasp on parallel port, booted back up and went thru the install process. It is communicating with the system but it doesn't see the hasp. Windows says lpt1 is working okay and port is set for bi-directional. It looks to me like the parallel port may be bad but I don't have a printer to test it. Any ideas? Thanks.

We're at 9.115 with 3 Receptionists working fine for years with no issues and this happened to us out of the blue. No one's got any answers for us.

Check to make sure that DEP is not turned on for all programs.
Right-click My Computer and select Properties, Select the Advanced tab, Click the "Settings" button under the Performance section and Select the Data Execution Prevention tab:
This can cause problems with Windows XP trying to read the key.

No go. Attendant console opened up immediately in Demo Mode for all 3 right after the restart.
