can anyone recommend a good, cheap weatherproof encloser that can house a wallmount,no dialpad SLT? I've looked at GAI-Tronics, Allen Tel and CeeCo but they are a little on the high side. I was wondering if there was anything else out there. Thanks, Gem

There is a guy out in NY he sell some older refurbed outdoor housings. Some of them look like they came from the kremlin. If you are not interested in decora I think he sells them for 75.00. Made Like a tank

The cheapest one I found was GAI-Tronics model# 255. I think it cost about $140 from Graybar. ------------------ | Capitol Communications | Telephone Systems

There is a company on e-bay called "TooManyAmps.com" selling a 12X10X8 enclosure made by Rose for $19.95 each and they have indicated that they have plenty of them availalble. It looks really nice, bright yellow high-impact plastic with a smoked clear plastic cover and a hand latch. I managed to fit a Panasonic 7400 series phone as well as a Vodavi 9000 series phone in those dimensions just fine. It is weatherproof, designed to house electrical controls in areas like car washes, etc. I believe that they are located in Salt Lake City, but you should be able to locate them on e-bay and use their "buy it now" price listed.

I gave you incorrect information. They are located at 6175 Stevenson Way, Las Vegas, NV 89120 and their web address is www.toomanyamps.com. I have purchased from them for some time now and they are great. Try these enclusures out; I think they are what you are looking for and at that price, how can you go wrong? ------------------ Ed --------- How come there's always enough time to go back and fix it a second time?

The same people have some nice looking Hoffmann boxes that are beige with gasketed doors, but the latch must be turned with a screwdriver. Not very good for an end-user to have to mess with; it would probably end up getting left open. Still, maybe there's a handle option available from the manufacturer. Even if you had to pay full price for the handle, at the cost of the box you would still be paying one-third the cost of any others that I have seen out there.
