Aloha,

In a previous post Parked Calls on Axxess 11, Superfoneguy did a great job of getting me out of a jam when I killed my park extensions a couple of weeks ago.

But now it turns out that - although calls are going to a phantom park extension (250), the call rings at the extension for about 15 seconds before being recalled back to the set that transferred the call.

However, if the set that sent the call doesn't answer the recall, the caller is sent to our voicemail system... where they're asked to enter an extension to call and, if they don't, they're dropped.

Bad things. So, I need to be able to transfer to hold - which I could program into a key... but the front desk has DSS units. They report that they could just press that appropriate park extension key on the DSS, and the caller would be placed on that extension - and on hold. (This was from the fake station board setup that I accidently erased. Argh.)

I didn't know if there was a way to send a call to the phantom and automatically put them on individual hold, or if someone knew the secret to recreating that fake station extension to recreate the park with individual hold.

I've asked the installer, and I got "I'll have to ask an engineer" response... If they give me the instructions before the next century arrives, I'll be sure and post it here... but I thought I'd ask here in hopes of a quicker response.

Thanks so much for putting up with my long-winded post.

If you want the parked call to recall the station that parked it, go to System
Timers and Limits and change:

Transfer - Available to the time you want the call to be parked for and
Transfer - Attendant to the time you want the call to be parked for

If you never want the call to recall, program up a System Forwarding path w/ the park station as all four forward points (System\Station-Related Info\System Forward Paths\Unused Path). Assign it to the park station and uncheck 'Busy' and 'DND' (System\Devices and Feature Codes\Phantom Extensions\Park Extension\Forwarding Paths).

This works great! Thanks!

I didn't adjust the timers, because creating a forwarding path for the phantom to go to itself gives me the delay (around 2 min) before the call is recalled to station that sent it there. (The call does recall... but that's ok, since I don't want the caller sitting in Parked-Call Limbo forever anyway.)

Thanks again!
