I have a customer who forwards their line one to their carrier by dialing *21 to forward direct to voicemail and #21 to remove. I can set the forward by pressing Line 1 key and dial *21. When I try to remove the forward by dialing #21 the DS1000 will not recognize the # key. Just continues to give dial tone after I press the # key. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

So you press the line key and dial #21 and it won't work?

That is correct. I can press it 20 times and still won't break dial tone

Have you tried it at a different phone to make sure the # key is working? And also from a test set right on the line to see if you can do it ahead of the system?

DS1000 has 4 analog stations I believe begin at the yellow orange pair, clip your butt set on this pair, if the port has not been program you should get system dial tone, dial 4 (I think) and 01 for trunk 1, try dialing #21

This is a old system and time for your customer to replace it, not able to use the # key on all phones is a good indication this system is going south. DTMF generators are on the mother board, enough said.

I will try that. Either way they need a single line phone to forward their lines.
