Is there anyway to forward to an outside line when using an extension list to ring multiple lines?

This will work if your pivot extension (Phantom or real) is listed in the Recall field of the Hunt Group. If programmed as 'Overflow', the call will sit and ring at the pivot phone.

The call will ring your extension list for as long as your Recall timer on the Hunt Group. If this isn't what you're looking for, we can find a different work around.

I tried routing the call to a hunt group that rings the extension list and uses the real extension in the recall field. The extension is currently set to forward. When calling in it doesn't forward but goes to a busy signal. Any help is appreciated.

It looks like you are using a real extension, if you have a phantom available (depending on system version) it might be a better way to go. That will keep the extension free for expanding the system or the customer deciding they need the phone you have used. If you don't have phantoms you can heat up a port forward it and remove the phone Inter-Tel will keep the forward after the phone is removed.
Hope this helps, e-mail if you need help
