Is there a way to, or has anyone uploaded professional recorded greetings to the Lvmu for use as the main greeting? I kind of remember a way to do it on the IVP but haven't found anything on the Lvmu.
thanks Dave

On page 40 of the manual it states "Secure someone to record the messages using a quiet environment" so I would assume that all recording are through the handset.

Per Toshiba KB, the process basically involves backing up the system, replacing the existing files greeting files, and then restoring the backup.
I tried this once and I wasn't able to get it working.
Another note: backup and restoring will take the voicemail system for the entire process, and backup over 9600 baud serial is pretty slow.
On the IVP8 I would use a CF card reader.

I've done this before a couple of times on the GVMU and it was a pain. I was successful but it did take a long time, like newtecky stated, you have to backup the entire database to replace the greeting files and then upload the entire database. Yes, 9600 baud is slow but I changed it to 56000 which helped out a lot but still it was slow. I assume the LVMU is the same as the GVMU. The greeting files have to be converted to the correct format though.

David,
It sounds like more trouble than its worth. However do you know the KB number? Couldn't find it on FYI.

KB # 3495. I may have a customer requesting a professional greetings, so I may need to try this out myself. Yes, 9600 baud is slow but I changed it to 56000 which helped out a lot but still it was slow. Didn't know you could change the baud rate in the GVPH.

Didn't know you could change the baud rate in the GVPH. Look on page 2-2 of the Manual." Note Press F2 in the Serial Port and Baud Rate fields to display a pop-up box with valid entries." I think it's the correct document.

You can change the serial port parameters in the system parameters via the Stratagy Admin software. It requires a reboot and then you can reconnect with the higher speed.

Look on page 2-2 of the Manual." Note Press F2 in the Serial Port and Baud Rate fields to display a pop-up box with valid entries." I think it's the correct document. This is the reason why I didn't try changing the Baud rate: 2-17 "CAUTION! The connection may fail if the baud parameter for this port is set higher than 9600 or the serial port definitions for this port do not correspond to the definitions for the COM port being used on the UADM2 PC." You can change the serial port parameters in the system parameters via the Stratagy Admin software. It requires a reboot and then you can reconnect with the higher speed. Good tip, 9600 is just so slow. I might first try changing the speed on a system on a test bench first. I would hate trying to explain to a customer why I have to default their VM because I can no longer connect.
