We are having a problem on our system when someone tries to forward a voicemail message to another voicemail box that is forwarded to email.
an example:
mb 1000 - regular voicemail
mailbox 1500 - voicemail that is forwarded to email

user in box 1000 receives a voicemail. He then listens to it and decides to forward it to mb 1500. when he forwards it to mb 1500 the message never forwards onto the email. If the user at mb 1000 adds a voice note to the message, mb1500 forwards the note to email but not the message.

I have tried this from several different mailboxes with the same result.
We set our mailboxes and give the users 2 choices. either they can have regular voicemailboxes or have all their voicemails forwarded to email. We do not use the forward and leave a copy or UM option.
Any ideas? Did my post make sense? smile any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Is it happening to all voicemail, or just voicemail forwarded from another mailbox? Check the message print files. You should be able to see the voicemail forwarded and the attempt to email. If the email was generated, then it may be an issue with your email server/service. We've been battling voicemail delivery due to the size of the file. Our users record up to an hour. Exchange has a lot of stops for large files.

It is only happening to voicemails that are forwarded from a regular mailbox to a mailbox that has "forward to email" enabled. regular voicemail to voicemail is not a problem.

How can I check the message print files? Not sure where to go to view that.

We have our Exchange server set up to move extremely large files, so I don't think it is that. I have done numerous test messages that are 5 seconds or less and it still will not forward them.

Wow, hour long voicemails. Good luck with that!! smile

Are any of the Voicemails making it to email? IF not then check your email gateway settings. On your VPU look at the avdap monitor (avdapmon). See what happens when a message is put into that mailbox. It will tell you all the steps it takes to send and if it was sent successfully or not.
