I don't work on IP Office - I know very little about them. Had a new customer - I went and fixed a line problem.
NOW they have a new issue / question.
They want to do 1 of these two things with an extension.
Can an ext be set up to auto transfer a call to a cell phone? OR Can an ext be set up for a new voice mail to call a cell phone for notification.
If this was a Norstar - NO Problem.
Let me know if either can be done. OR if they can be done but only if this or that. The little I know of IPO's is they can be basic or enhanced. I am just guessing that this one is Basic - but I really don't know that. I believe this site has just the ONE unit with 3 modules in it for Digital Stations and Analog Lines.
Thanks for any info.
Jim

It's going to be important to find out if it is Basic or Essential edition to give you a proper answer
Both versions support outcalling - a message is left in a mailbox, the mailbox calls a telephone number to alert the user that there is a new message to listen to
Essential edition, you can forward to an outside number

TT-TOMMY: Thanks for the reply.
Although I did put out some feelers elsewhere and one said that to forward an ext to outside number is in ALL IPO's. It is just that Version 8 and below it is there and version 9 and above it is default disabled and have to enable it if it is wanted.
I do not know at this moment which version they have. But will be going out in a couple of weeks and will find out what they have and if either option will work and with what version.
Guess I will find out then which is correct. At least there is hope to get one of them working.
Thank you.

Ken: Yes I have the manager on my laptop. But I really have never used it. Maybe once years ago when I was doing remote smart hands for someone who stepped me through things.
Without using it a few times, I have no idea how to change a button to make it Call Forward, then where and how to check to see if if external forwarding is enabled or disabled.
I have another tech that I will send out next week - he knows the IPO. Just wish I did.
I have installed half a dozen or so - but only installed. Someone else did all the programming before I did the install.
