So we have just are growing and have brought on 6 new sales reps. As our number of cubes is limited, sales reps are moving from having a desk and line of their own to shared desks as they are outside reps.
Current setup: Phone are setup as Keysets (I don't know how this is different from a single line) with their DID's forwarded to their cell phones 90% of the time.
As we are bring in more sales reps and to shared cubes, I need to figure out how to turn these DID keysets to a phantom DID line that forwards directly to their cell phone.
I did not know if there was some way to simply create a system forward path to redirect calls to a DID to an external number or if I can just change the Keyset to a phantom line.

If I understand this right you want the sales guys to share the phone in the cube. That would be used for outbound calling. All the inbound calling would be directed to their cell phones. If that is true than the easy way is just to create phantom exts for the sales guys. Then forward the phantoms to their cell #. Then point their DID to the phantom.

Thank you,
So I would need to delete their current phone and recreate?
So Basically, create a phantom phone with extension that has a corrisponding system forward ext. > DID, And then redirect their phantom phone to their cell?
I know how to forward with landlines suing the phone, but not sure where to do this without a physical phone.

Once you have created the phantom, you can manually divert it from another display phone using feature 359. This code allows remote programming of another extension, so I suggest you set the password of the phantom to nothing, and do the following 359 extn number # 355 8 xxxxxxxxxxx (mobile number) #
All calls to the phantom will now divert to the mobile.
