Hello, I have attached a public address system to an slt port on the system however when the message has been broadcast the extension attached to the PA does not clear down. I assume it is to do with the CPC signalling however I can't find the appropriate MMC code to disable it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why would you not use the external paging port?

Do you have a spare analog co port to use instead? Not sure you are going to achieve this cpc control from a digital to an analog station port.

Unfortunately no spare analogue line port. I may be using the incorrect terminology. What happens when the PA message is ended the speakers then continue to broadcast what I would describe as quite fast interupted dial tone

Exactly because you are hanging up on the sli port and it stays off hook. The only way I think the system can send a disconnect to a sli port on hang up is if the sli port is programmed as a vmail port. In North America it would be mmc 207 assign VM/AA Port
My only other suggestion is to use a spare digital phone and tap the speaker output and feed it into a pa amplifier.

If you have a misc card you get a 2nd.external paging port plus some relays you can use.
