I have been trying to learn the Comdial Executech XE NO308 system. I reset the system to factory defaults and all seemed to be ok. When I rang in to the system, all phones rang and their LED's lit. Today, I configured Line 1 to appear on key A1 as a test. The default is key B1. Now that I have done this, the other stations no longer ring for an incoming call. I tried to reconfigure the line appearance back to B1 but it will not take the program change. Does this sound correct? My only choice now is to reset the system back to facotry defaults (not a big deal). Does anyone have any ideas on this one? Is there a way to clear the programming on a soft-key?
Thanks

Well, by default stations 10,17 and 32 in the larger boxes ring. I would imagine that since you moved line 1 to a different button, It only rings on 10 because all lines ring on 10. You need to program ringing on any other phone if the line appears on it.
Decide where you want the line to be, program your lines, then program your ring assignments.

Thank you Carl. I did program a different button on Station 11 and it flashes but does not ring. You mention "program ringing" and "ring assignments", Is this the Flexible Rining Assignments parameter? What does GND mean? I don't understand what how to configure this parameter. When I was in the default configuration, the 5 phones that I had connected did ring (I'm pretty sure).
Thank you very much.

I assume you have a manual. The only thing I can think of for GND is ground. About 30 pages in, the manual shows how to connect the cabinet to electrical and the GROUND lug. Don't be overly concerned) unless you plan on making this permanent.
I'm using the NO308 rev J or higher practice and it says that only 10 and 17 were programmed for all ring. It's program 50 and you should be able to dial 11, press lines A1, A2, etc, then # and dial 12, press lines A1, A2 until you're done. Finish with *

Thanks for the clarification on ring progamming.
I also figured out what GND is. I was misreading it, the word is AS'GND which I'm pretty sure means "assigned". They felt is necessary to use a very bad abbreviatiion (IMHO) instead of making a font smaller or a cell wider. Mystery solved. Thanks again.
