I have a customer with a CIX100 and Strata Messaging. The phone lines are coming in on Coax from Rogers & then being converted with an Arris box to analog. If a caller lands in a mailbox & hangs up, neither the CIX or Messaging realizes the call has been disconnected, so there ends up being a 2 minute (120 second) message in the mailbox. The message contains the "fast busy tones" of a line that has been off hook and not released. I have asked the line provider if they can send the release signal & they are telling me they cannot. Anyone have any suggestions on how to circumvent this on a CIX100??

Get a decent ATA box that will send a disconnect to the CIX. Or port the numbers to a SIP trunk provider and program the numbers directly on the CIX as SIP trunks and do away with the ATA box.
