Hello Everyone
I have a small office that I would like to connect two, and in the future more, Inter-Tel 8662 IP phones. The problem I am having is the router will not allow for two devices or more to communicate on the same ports at the sometime. The router is a Net gear WGR614. Does anyone know what router will allow for more than one IP phone to be connected and in use at the same time? Thanks

I have a WGR614 with 2 Inter-tel IP phones connected and have no problems. Sounds like maybe a setup issue in the phone it self.

Did you have to create any rules in the router? Both phones work they just cannot be used at the same time.

No rules and no changes to the factory port settings. Are the phones set to DHCP? Are the phones recieving different IP address from the router?

Yes the phones are set to DHCP and they both receive a different IP address from the router. I think I will try to update the firmware and see if that does the trick. It looks like the firmware is several years old. Thanks for your help DeWayne. I will let you know what happens.
