We have one user that is experiencing a problem with voice mail messages. This apparently happened in the past and the tech that resolved it is no longer with the company.
Inter-Tel Axxess system with NT server for voicemail.
Only happening to one user. Not all messages but a few get cut off after a few seconds. Any ideas?

Delete and re-add the mailbox.

I'm having this same issue with one user. Did this work for you? You are talking about just deleting and re-adding the mailbox in the user's Outlook correct?

I tried deleting and readding the user's mailbox, but he's still having the same problem. Now I've had reports of 2 more users occasionally getting messages cut off. What is strange is that when they forward a copy of the message to me, I hear the entire message.

On your previous post you mentioned deleting and re-adding the mailbox in the user's Outlook. You will want to delete and re-add the user's mailbox in DB Programming.

Help simply says highlight, right-click and delete to delete a mailbox, which I did. Do I need to wait a period of time or reboot the system to make sure the mailbox is deleted before I re-add? Are there any other steps to ensure the mailbox is deleted? I now have a 4th user reporting voice messages occasionally getting cut off at the end.

When is the last time disk maintenance was done on that box? Defrag, chkdsk, temp-dump?

It's been quite a while and the system is ancient as well. I'll go through it and see if it makes a difference. Today I had one of my own messages get cut off...now it's really getting serious.

Defrag should be done from time to time, at least once a month. On another note - throw a rock across the river. (Omaha 'Home Town' eons ago, but born there, went to school, learned to hunt, swim, fish, at and in that river - tried to kill me once. Left in '62.)
