I am just wondering what the difference is between 24-09-01 and 22-11-04/05 is one for copper trunks / and one for digital trunks /PRI

I am working on a multi location sight which currently has all copper trunks and they are switching over to PRI

Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by copper trunks. 24-09 is a call forward for a destination. 22-11 is a translation to a destination. So usually a copper trunk is PSTN (just a ring down trunk) and PRI is digital indial. PSTN is normally DIT to a destination and you then forward it to where you need it to go under certain circumstances (such as no answer). Indial you can also send to a destination like a DIT and then forward using 24-09 but you can also translate it to a destination such as a mailbox directly.

It all comes down to how your PRI is configured as you can have a PRI with one number and 30 channels or 100/s of numbers and 30 channels and this would dictate how you would handle the calls. The reason I say depends on what you mean by copper trunks is that until a few years ago we still had Analogue indial here in OZ and I don't know if you still have that where you are because if you have, you would treat it the same as PRI.
