Alarm 100 is excessive data errors from the keyset. They can be caused by a poor connection, a defective keyset, or rarely, a defective keyset port. Repeated alarms will cause an Alarm 101, station lockout.

Start by checking all connections to the keyset – re-punch the cable at both ends, check for corrosion, etc. and replace the keyset line cord. If the problem returns, it’s most likely a defective keyset. You can swap with another extension to see if the problem follows the keyset.
