Good Morning All,

I’m having a weird issue with a NS-700 unit.

When an incoming call is received on CO1 – Line 1 (ICD 601 – Ext 101) and its being transfer to either of two extensions (ICD 602 – Ext 102 & 103) the line one for some reason if answered or unanswered gets stuck.

After this happened if you call Line 1 (CO1) it rings on your side but not on the phone itself.

Anyone got an idea of what’s up with this or how to force the system to release the line?

Line configuration & Extension info

CO1 – Main line (ICD 601) - 101
CO2 – Line 2 (In ICD 602) - 102
CO3 – Line 3 (In ICD 602) - 103
CO4 – Private use for back office (Not in an ICD) - 104

There are 5 extensions (101 – 105)

You help as usual is greatly appreciated.

When you said it gets stuck, do you mean it lights the line key and stays solid red

I wonder if you're receiving calling party disconnect from the service provider on your lines. The absence of this feature causes lines to get locked up in literally any brand of system. If you place each of the lines on hold and the calling party hangs up, do the lines drop properly? If not, that is likely the cause for your problem. You'll need to test this and if necessary, get them involved to correct the line issue.

How are the lines delivered to the customer? Are they plain analog POTS lines, or are they delivered via some flavor of VoIP (Fiber, coax, wireless, etc) and then converted to analog for handoff to the NS700? Could be an issue with the demarc if the lines are delivered via VoIP. I have seen that before.
