hello guys. my customer has a 616 with a bst door box. when a customer pushes the button it rings the phone but when they answer there is no voice audio, yet you can hear cars going by. doesnt make sense. and if they dial the box from a phone the same thing happens. anyone have an idea on this. thanks. dave

BST Door Phone is for BCM systems
Norstar Door Phone is for Norstar systems
So compatibility issue.

maybe im wrong about that. the bst manual works for programing it. but whatever one it is, the door box has been working for several years until now.

I forgot, BST is backwards compatible, just the Norstar Doorphone will not work on BCM.

I would suggest to
-disconnect & reconnect the jumper from the 6X16
-reboot system, be prepared to re-program it if the cap is weak
-replace door phone

Perhaps the door phone has some mixing software in it to give the best sound output and it's broken.

i put in a new door phone and it is working good. so strange the office could hear the cars going by but not the person talking at the door phone.
