We recently received this notice from our disti's:
Please be aware that there is now a New Part# for the IPO IP500 V2A CNTRL UNIT • For Non-Government - please use: 700514867 IPO IP500 V2A CNTRL UNIT • For Government – Please use: 700514869 IPO IP500 V2A CNTRL UNIT TAA
Currently the A1S Configuration tool is still populating the EoS Part# 700501510 -- IPO 500 V2
However, I've been told that people are having trouble installing the new V2A chassis on R11.0 - does anyone here know the definitive answer to this?

What normally happens is the SD card you get from your vendor when you order a new switch is not always at the latest version. If you've received an IP 500v2A, you may have to upgrade your SD card using a card reader, or in an IP 500V2 cabinet. I know this from experience.
It's a little annoying, but not the end of the world.
Also, the ver2A switch doesn't support the Digtal8 card. You need to use the new Digital 8A card in the main slots. Combo card still works...
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
