We recently upgraded to version 9.0 on our phone system and all the keymaps defaulted to the 8600. We're having difficulty finding a good keymap to use with the INT4000 model phones.
We have about 25 selections but none seem to fit the keymap correctly. At least from how we're configuring it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? The User Guide was of no help.

I use the Axxess Basic keymap. The four keys in the left column relate to the four keys on the bottom of the INT-4000.

The keymap itself shouldn't have changed on any extension. When you open DBStudio, the keymap always defaults to 8600, changing that is to help you program the buttons, not actually determine what the phone is.

@DND ON: Thank you for the information that was most helpful.
@bullcube: I appreciate your feedback. DND provided what I was looking for. Whatever happened all my keymaps defaulted back to the 8600 keymap so I lost all my configurations. Because the Axxess Basic looks similar to the actual basic phone layout it's easier to program the button relationships but since there wasn't a INT-4000 keymap I was having trouble creating those relationships. I figured Instead of trying to recreate the wheel I was hoping to rely on others that have already done this to help out.
Thank you everyone for your feedback it is appreciated.
Can anyone explain why when I shut down DBStudio and relaunch it defaults my keyset values to Keymap= 8600 Keymap???

Nothing is really defaulted; it just changes how you view the information. All of the programming is intact.
This reminds me of when the 8520/8560 “Jaguar†keysets were released in beta. The phones were available before the keymap was added in DB Studio. We used the 24-button keymap, and had to figure out where the buttons appeared on the phone.

ah ok that honestly doesn't make much sense from a programming point of view but I'll go with it. I see that when I select the "Keymap" according to the one chosen earlier all the programming is still intact.
Seems like an odd way to do it.
Thanks again DND
