We have Axxessory Talk Visual Mail running on a Windows NT 4.0 computer. Each year while we are in daylight savings time the "Sent" time stamp on email messages sent from VisualMail are advanced 1 hour.
This only effects the Sent time. The message received time in the body of the email message is correct. The time on the VM computer is set correctly and the clock is set to automatically adjust to daylight savings time. If I turn off the automatic DST adjustment in Windows and just set the time to the correct hour then the time stamp is off by 2 hours instead of 1.
I have checked the time in the BIOS of the VM computer and it is correct.
Any ideas as to what setting is causing this problem?

How about the time zone? I remember having issues where equipment was shipped with Arizona selected for the time zone, and they don’t use Daylight Savings Time.

It sounds like the timezone rules are messed up.
Did this system get edited with tzedit.exe to fix up the start and stop times for Day Light Savings? Microsoft isn't going to patch NT for changes like this, but released a tool for you to go do it yourself.
You probably want to review the settings with tzedit to make sure it all is correct. Maybe it got applied backwards for the last change?

Thanks for the feedback but I am still where I was with incorrect sent time.
My Time Zone is set to Central (US), GMT-6, which is our correct TZ.
I used tzedit to correct the start and end dates for DST, but since we are already past the old start dates that did not change anything. I messed with the DST offset to see if I could trick the time into showing correctly. Nothing worked. When I turn off the DST adjustment or set the offset to 0 then the sent time is 2 hours in advance. When I set the offset to any value other then 0 and turn on the DST adjustment then the sent time in 1 hour in advance. Interestingly enough it does not matter what the offset is. I test positive and negative adjustments of +1,+2,+3, -1, -2, -3 and the sent time is always 1 hour in advance.
Any other ideas?
