Here's a new one:
We have an 11.0.4.x IPO with a hunt group that contains both M-series Nortel phones and an Avaya J-series IP phone at reception (which normally answers the calls). It is reported that when nobody is at reception and the incoming calls get answered at one of the Nortel phones, the reception phone will "auto-answer" the =B line. The result is that the dial tone is heard on speakerphone until someone comes over and ends the call.
The next step we'll try is upgrading the firmware of the J-series phone.

I've had that in the past, but not with Nortel phones but with 1400 series. There is a patch for that but i was using R 10, not sure about R 11. Worth checking though.

We got a report back from the site - it looks like a telephone firmware update fixed the problem.
