Hi all!

I have a customer Migrating to an IP 500 that currently has 8 analog lines and are converting to 8 SIP Channels with 40 DID's. (Want to do away with the analog lines altogether)
They want to Keep at least two or three of their existing Phone numbers that are published already. How would they use those in conjunction with SIP Channels and DID's?
Thx

Simply port those 2 or 3 phone numbers over to the SIP trunk and you're all set! (of course you'll need incoming call routes to instruct the system where to send those DIDs)

Pardon my ignorance but would those 3 numbers be part of my 8 Channels or in addition to them making it 11 Channels? What happens when a call is placed from a DID other than those Channels and is going out on one of those ported numbers?
thx

With SIP trunks there is no longer a 1-to1 ratio between lines/channels and numbers/DIDs. The 3 numbers would just be added to your 40 DIDs making the total 43.
