We have an Axxess System, ver 8.1. If an extension is maually forwarded to another, the call never goes into VM, it just rings. We want the non-answered call to go into receiving extensions VM. System Forward is on and each extension only has one forwarding path: VM. The forwarding path flags are as follows:

Forwarding Paths 1
Ring Principal Once No
Station - Busy No
Station - DND Yes
Station - No Answer Yes
Station - Immediate No
Station - Day Mode Yes
Station - Night Mode Yes
Fwd Call Type - Call Routing Table Yes
Fwd Call Type - CO Ring-In Yes
Fwd Call Type - CO Transfer/AA/VM Yes
Fwd Call Type - CO Recall No
Fwd Call Type - DISA Yes
Fwd Call Type - IC Calls No

I've tried setting IC Calls to Yes, but this had no effect as well. Any ideas? TIA

Manually forwarded extensions will never forward to voice mail. The act of manually forwarding a phone tells it to ignore any forwarding which has been programmed.

You could create a hunt group with the station receiving the calls as the member, recalling to a call routing announcement which times out to the mailbox. Manually forward the phone to the hunt group.

If it’s an ongoing situation, like a secretary covering for the boss, you could create a new forward path. Make the secretary’s extension the first forward point, and a call routing announcement which times out to the secretary’s voice mail as the second forward point. You could set this to only work in DND, and leave normal forward to voice mail in a no answer condition.

Not sure if these will work in your situation, but it will point you in the right direction to be creative.
