Is there any way on a Vodavi STS-e to answer an incoming line without having to press the line key, simply lifting the handset to answer? I know how to program the phone to pick a specific line when preparing to dial out, but needed the feature that will allow the user at the main operator extension (x100) the ability to simply lift the handset when "any" incoming call is happening.

Yes, this is referred to as "preferred line answer" (PLA), via station programming, flash 50/51, button #8.
