So...

System Version 8.201

I woke up with the watchdog service continually shutting down the VPU.

I was able to get the watchdog service stopped and have logged into the vpu but, voicemail is still not working.

I am able to connect to it with the session manager and all the configuration looks good. I am even watching the AvdapMon and I can see the connection being made to the application or mailbox when I call in, it even shows the recording being played but, there is no sound!

I changed the volume and it now shows a gain of 6 but still no sound.

I have restarted the VPU and the Advap service with no luck.

Check your cable between the CPC and the VM suspect you will find your issue there

Thanks for the reply Randy..

I am having a tech go to that location now to check the audio connection however, I was under the impression that there has only been a serial cable connected between the CPC and VPU. Is there a way to have it set up without an audio cable?

I have verified that there is no audio cable between the VPU and CPC.

I also made sure the watchdog service was on and the advap service was set to manual.

I can sill see recordings playing but no sound frown

Trying to set up a holiday greeting so employees can leave. Any more ideas?

Randy,

Any idea how I can get a number forwarded to an external destination??

In my 5200 I would use phantom's but they are not available in Version 8

In version 8 take an unused port if you don't have one add a card make an ext on one of the ports and you have your phantom

Go into online monitor select forward not the forward you will see when not in on line monitor the top option needs to be PP040 or 92001 you will have to try it both ways to see what will work for your app forward type 1 and set to Y with the number you want as the dest. point your trunk grop to ring it and you should be set

The store is set to re-open in a few hours and VM is still down frown

From what I'm reading I suspect it is an EM Have you taken it all the way down and restarted windows? I would do a complete shut down not a reboot.
Call if you need help, I'm on call for my company so really not an issue I'm stuck by the phone anyway
