Hello. I'm using Axxess 5.2f with an INT-2000 Cordless phone. All programming on the phone seems to work correctly except for the Record-a-call feature. (my client uses this as an emergency record button). I have a button set to feature code 385, have the record-a-call mailbox set to the system's record-a-call mailbox and have the record-a-call application set to 2505 (our record-a-call app). In fact, these are the same exact settings used on our standard phones (for instance, 550.4100's). Record-a-call works fine on the hardwired extensions, but on the cordless, the TALK indicator flashes (indicating that it's recording?) but no recording is actually made in the record-a-call mailbox.

Any ideas? Is this a bug with these older-than-dirt cordless phones?

I think I have one of these at the office - I'll try to play with it tomorrow.

If the destination is associated mailbox .... do you have an associated mailbox with the phone? I have never played with the 2000 only the 4000's but I would suspect a programming issue before I would suspect the phone. In the Record-a-call under the ext you are using change the dest to your mailbox and see if it works

Nope--it's NOT an associated mailbox. But, it works with all of the other phones--just not the cordless.

The idea is to have a central "emergency recording" mailbox that any phone can record to in case of emergency (ie, bomb threats). This is critical in the industry involved (aviation) for obvious reasons.

While it is not an associated mailbox, I have notification set to a phone in the computer room so I am aware if a recording has been made. I have verified that not only is there no notification when a recording is made on the cordless, but manually going into the mailbox shows that no message was recorded (but only if I test with the cordless as the recording source)

The cordless does NOT have a mailbox associated with it (although neither do several of the phones I've tested with that work). I can try that as a test, though, just to see....

Look under stations associated and see if the voice mail application number is listed in the as the voice mail .... not sure that would be it never tried it without it but know your voice mail for a station will not work if it's not associated....

I finally made it into the office today – it turns out that I don’t have an INT-2000 to play with.
