We have Trunk group setup to forward to an extension. Every month for the last 3 months it stops working. I call our vendor the swear it isn't them but after i make the call it eventually starts working. They say the problem is our phone syste.
I read somewhere a way to dial the number directly from a station phone to test the number leaving our system.
Right now the number just rings, i want to test if i dial the number from our system if it works.
Does anyone know what this method is?

Okay further testing results:
The extension 1303 is forwarded to 51303 which rings external home number.
I can dial 1303 and 51303 and get teh home number voicemail.
If i remove forwarding and dial the Direct line, the office phone rings and vm picks up.
However, if i forward the 1303 extension to 51303 and dial the direct line the phone just rings and rings. So it's not forwarding correctly.
Any suggestions on how i'd resolve this? I'm going to try and reconfigure the forward.

Every once in a while, I have problems with phantoms not forwarding off site, no rhyme or reason.
If I forward to a CRA that times out to the phantom, it seems to work.

Yea oddly enough I created a new phantom 31303 and forwarded to that and it works fine. Go figure. Very strange.
