I have received a few complaints about the quality of calls when using speakerphone on our 550.8520 handsets.
I've done some reading here and our stations are all set to "Enhanced" Speakerphone mode. I just read about the 310 feature code, but haven't tried it yet.
I read somewhere else online that the 8520 handsets are "full-duplex capable". What does the "capable" imply? Someone suggested the problem is that the phones are only half-duplex.

There is a chip at location U22 on the 8520 phones that sometimes can come loose and can cause problems including with the speaker phone. You can find the chip by sliding the door off on the back of the phone. Press down firmly on the left and right side of the chip to snap it back into place.
If that doesn't help matters or the chip is not there, which it isn't on later models, the phone may just be bad itself.
As far as full or half duplex I can find nothing that really says either way. Maybe someone else has the answer to that question.
