I have a 5000 axxess system(Intertel 9.002 with DB Studio 1.51). At my secondary site, ocassionally some af the outgoing call lines remain lit and nobody seems to be able to use them. There are 4 lines on the admin phones and every so often 1 or 2 of the lights remain on. I had someone check each phone to see if a phone or phones were off-hook or something, but they found nothing unusual. The only way I have found to clear them is to perform a "reset" in DB Studio, then I have to clear the "system alarm" on an admin phone. I'm pretty sure when I do this, I am disconnecting all current phone calls. I have 1 primary site and 2 secondary sites. I haven't figured out how to reset this for just the office affected. I suspect that someone is accidently hitting some buttons on a phone which ties up an outgoing line. If it's any help, I have more details of my system in a previous post "Caller ID shows 'main line' for 2nd site. thanx Greg

Which is it, a 5000 or an Axxess, that's having the problem?

I'm not sure what you mean. I have 3 sites, 1 primary and 2 secondary. At the primary, I have VPU, PC with DB studio, OAISYS unit. All 3 sites have an Axxess chassis with various cards - Power, line cards, T1 card. I have about 12 phone lines(extensions) used at a secondary site with the problem. The Primary site is connected to the secondary sites with T1 lines. What other info would be helpful..?

Your original post said you have “a 5000 Axxess systemâ€Â. The 5000 and Axxess systems are totally different platforms.
It sounds like you have an Axxess system, and I would suspect a defective Loop Start Card (LSC) is the cause of your problem.

Sorry, below is my primary equipment. As it turns out, placing a buttset on the line, showed that my main audiotex intro message was playing over and over. If someone didn't know which option (digit #,*, 0-9)they wanted, the timeout would transfer to the same Call Routing Announcement and play again. It seems the "hangup" isn't being detected properly. This same design works fine at the Main Office.
