i have an inter-tel/mitel 5000 with 8622 voip phones. i need to change display names and remove voicemail boxes left behind by ex-employees. from what i have read here, there is a database on the 5000 and session manager software on a pc to interface with the database. i have searched everywhere for the software to no avail. is there an easier way? i can reach the 5000 via web browser to the 5000's ip addy, but the interface is read only. i could really use some help with this. thanks.

Hi zig! Welcome to the forum.
You can change the display names from the admin phone but deleting and creating mailboxes can only be done via the session manager programming. Unfortunately, there is no other way to do this. Browsing to the IP address of the phone system will not allow you to do any programming.
Without knowing the system version, it's going to make finding the correct software that much harder. I would recommend getting your vendor involved.

endpoint version is 2.2.02 system version is 3.1.2.19
the original vendor is out of business. mitel hooked me up with another, he showed up this morning, first day on the job and has never seen a mitel system before. i canceled the order.

nevermind stix, i got the username changed...not sure what else though, before i got to the username section, database updated.
