*** Updated this message see end of text ***
Just upgraded Partner Plus. Unable to program the a speaker only unit that is used at the front door. It is not a door bell, it is only a mic/speaker. The system has 3 outside lines. The system used to work this way. When the doorbell rings, pressed line 4, that enabled communications with the speaker/mic box at front door. The box is attached to ext 21. How do I program line four to ext 21. ****** New text... I originally posted this. Sorry about the confusion. I am truly a novice at the telephone stuff. But to clarify...I do not believe the doorbell is attached to the Partner system, only the speaker/mic. I attempted what was suggested on the first post and was not successful. Prior to that attempt (from reply 1) I tried to program this myself by forcing the line 4 button to line 21. I screwed that up. Now on ext 10 when I press line 4 (after programming based upon reply 1) I receive a dial tone and the number 21 appears in the display and the phone dials. It does not attach to the front door speaker. Thanks for all your replies.

1.Feature 00 System System #301 2.Press 21 (for station 21) 3.Press 04 (forline 4) 5.Press Next Data until it shows assigned. 6.Press Next Item or Prev. Item to take off the other line at station 21 7.Feature 00 to end programming. You must do this at station 10 or 11

Some of those door boxes get hooked up to a C.O. Port. When the person presses the button at the door it sends ringing current to the CO port on the system and it rings. You may want to see who the manufacturer is and do a google search to see what the specs are, It may list it as being hooked to an extra line port on your system and that would help you figure out how hook it up.

Maybe I'm confused but isn't that what he said? That he is hooking it up to line port 4. From his post it sounds like it was on line four on the old system to. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)

DTMF, he said it was attached to station 21, wouldn,t that be the last port off the 2nd 206E card? I too think he needs to plug this into CO port 4 but again he has to check the Docs. 1st. WaM

This sounds a lot like what I have done with a "Doorking" door box unit. Use the last station (Ext. 21 on a P+ w/2-206) programmed with no lines assigned as the CO side of the doorbox, and CO 4 as the "station" side. Ext. 21 provides the battery, and when the visitor hits the call button, it rings into line 4. You would need to assign CO 4 to sets that want to answer the doorbox. but besure to remove CO 4 from the Auto Line Select for that extension.
