if your fault light is on that usually means the switch is dead. very rarely have I seen one still working when that light is on. I think it is a diode in the power supply. So long ago, I can't rememebr.

It actually indicates an alarm, but I would need to dig pretty deep in base archives to find my Merlin II manual. I have upgrade all of mine to Legends

The Merlin 11 came with the 517A5 Diagnostic module . It would plug into the front of the proc. module

Can you tell me more about the diagnostic module? I have never seen one. Is there a way to get one (since the Merlin is so old)? <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by Rudy: The Merlin 11 came with the 517A5 Diagnostic module . The fault light indicates that there is a problem with one of the circuit packs, Feature Module, Processor Module. Do you have any cards installed other then line/station cards? Are they all in use? Do you have multiple cabinets installed? Do you have an auxillary power supply installed? There are load limits that the system adheres to. Post the contents of all the cards in the system and I can go from there. Is there a TIE LINE cards installed? mitch taylor [email protected]
