Ok i don't ever work on partners and customer moved ahead of schedule. They had a 2 slot carrier in old office 308 processor 4.0 i think with 200 line card. because the new office was bigger i let them borrow a 5 slot carrier and 308 ec. as it should be setup the processor is in the middle slot. the 308 i got them does not stay powered up in slot 1. i have not looked into as i just got back in town and found out they were moving so wanted to get some ideas before heading out in the am. do i need to make some changes in programming to allow for ec to go in this slot?

No, it should come up and give you a green light, make sure that it is seated good. Put the ACS in the middle and the 308EC in the far left slot, are you going to use the 200 ? Example, without the 200
308EC - Empty - ACS4.0 - Empty - Empty
With the 200
308EC - 200 - ACS4.0 - Empty - Empty Once you have them up then you can go ahead and program the new stations and lines.

Someone told me one time there was a minimum revision level on the carrier that would support the ACS. I don't know how true that is.

ACs 2.0 or higher to support a 308 module.

Hey Dan, Ken from Shoreline. I am pretty sure you can just plug the power cord into the ACS module to see if it will come up. if it's not coming up in the carrier it could be as above a compatibility issue or maybe a bad carrier. do you have a partner proc or partner 2 you can test with?
I'll see if I can dig up some info on it for you.

Thanks guys. I looked at feature 59 and it was actually a 1.0 processor. no wonder. now i have to upgrade. the customer told me it was 3.0 so i took it for granted. word to the wise, always verify. it's been a while since i've upgraded. i need to replace the processor right, not just the remote card?

I am being told that you can upgrade the ACS to the higher release with an upgrade card if you can get your hands on one?, otherwise you need to go up to at least a rel 2.
