Is there a code to reset a Merlin Legend to default to a loop start Key system?
I got a call from a potential customer who inherited a Legend. All they need is 8 lines and 16 extensions plus VM. The system has Merlin Mail Release 3, and is outfitted with 5 408 cards.
That said, I have not worked with the Legend. Merlin II, Plus, Partner, Telrad, Norstar, Panasonic, NEC yes...but not Legend. I don't want to hand them to a competitor, but I don't want to look like an idiot because I don't know it. The manuals are there, and it seems like a fairly straightforward install.

In programming go to System Programming - exit - System - Mode - change it to Key mode. This will make it a square config. You can assign the lines to the phone, etc... As far as a reset? I have not done that in a long time I will have to sleep on it.

Don't post specific reset steps in the open forum, use the installer forum or better yet email direct. For obvious reasons. Thanks.

Sorry about that Mark. I see the logic there though. I think at one time I tried to get into the installers forum, but wasn't allowed access. Are there additional credentials or another registration procedure to access that?
