Reading the Network Reference about connecting 2 Magix systems over a "tandem" PRI...

The way I understand this, you will have 23 connections [channels] between the 2 Magix boxes. In our setup, we were considering keeping the current PRI used for inbound/outbound traffic and voice mail in the primary (PBX) box.

So, all traffic between the 2 Magix -- calling inter-system, calling outbound, and inbound calls -- would be limited to the 23 channels.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

Your assumption is correct if...You only have trunks in one switch for out bound calls. In this case you only have the 23 channels for communications between the 2 switches and one switch is providing all of your dial tone you are then limited to 23 total. You can set both switches up with trunks for dial tone. I hope this helps.
