Several users report that the message is "cut off" when they are listening to a message, however, if they go back into their voicemail a second or third time, the whole message will be there. This has happened numerous times on this system. We have deleted and rebuilt mailboxes and reset the system. Any help would be appreciated.

Are they listening through the speakerphone instead of the handset? Have them hit mute, or turn the microphone off when using speaker phone for listening to VM

They are listening thru the handset. The message plays part way through and cuts off in the middle of the message. If they hang up and call back in to the mailbox, sometimes it will play all the way through and sometimes it will cut off again. This has happened to several people several times over the past few weeks. Could it be the drive going bad? I had thought it might be from people calling on cell phones but this is not the case as after several attempts the message plays all the way through. any help is appreciated. Thank you.

You problem is not unique.
I had the same problem Years ago when the 2.5 first came out. Avaya Set up a trace and It mysterously got fixed. They probably uploadad a patch.

The problem you are reporting is common with the early releases of the R2.5 software. Send me an email and we can offer you assistance with this problem.

There is a PCMCIA patch for Release r2.5.13
just for this issue. The patch is
R2.5.25 [Hope this helps]

Don't know if it is still available from AVAYA.
